The pH meter included in this kit is worse than junk, after calibration it read somewhere between 0.5 and 1.2 of normal. I was able to compensate for this by comparing the results to the calibration solution, but this was far less convenient than just using paper strips. However, the BIGGEST issue is with the design, the directions it points to not submerge the probe above a certain point, which I've tried not to do. The problem is that the probe tip is not insulated from the main battery and electronics compartment, so any residual water left on the probe will spill onto the circuit board and burn out the entire meter if left on its side. That's exactly what happened. The probe only lasted about a day before refusing to read anything but zero and eventually just dying. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY. The TDS meter works pretty well by the way.
