Won't rub off chalk-stained surfaces

Writes nicely but doesn't rub off like chalk. I made a chalkboard with chalk paint for a wedding decoration. I went to have the marker removed at the end of the day and it didn't rub off. I've tried wiping with rubbing alcohol and nail polish remover and tons of scrapers and it still doesn't rub off. I didn't have this problem with real chalk or other chalk markers. Definitely not on par with the fickleness of chalk. Photo after repeated deletion attempts.
