Top edges curl and get dirty easily
The short edges of the sink saddle curl right out of the box and don't lay flat. I've tried flattening them out under a heavy wooden cutting board on the counter overnight, but they still curl up. My second issue with this set is that I made a curry platter the other day and when I washed the dishes and pots it stained the carpet at the bottom of the sink with saffron and turmeric spices. I'll switch to metal grates on the bottom of the sink and a hard plastic holder for brushes and sponges. These rugs just weren't the right solution to protect my fireclay basin and keep it looking good over the long term.
