Review on Nikon 35mm f/1.8G Auto Focus Lens for Nikon DSLR Cameras - Black (Model 2183) by Kristiyana Setiyawat ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

No complaints, I recommend to buy.

Before I started using it in conjunction with the D3000, I had been taking pictures with the 18-55 for the previous six months. I have only been using it for a little over a month. I paid 6990 for it, and it had a very slight amount of front focus when I got it. Advantages: 1. Aperture, in comparison to 18-55, there is significantly more room for filming, and you do not need to worry about losing shutter speed when using polarizers. It can be shot in any type of street lighting, from early morning until late in the evening. In a large room on a bright day, you can get away without a flash or a tripod in an apartment with lamps, but you won't be able to do so in a house. 2. The sharpness is adequate; it is not a head, but it is higher than a whale. 2. The seven-blade rounded diaphragm produces bokeh that is sufficiently smooth and free of any pronounced nuts. despite the fact that they are not beauty advocates. 3. Ring focus motor, which makes it possible for the ring to be manually adjusted to change the focus. 4. Sufficiently strong for non-extreme handling, the metal bayonet against the plastic in 18-55 has a rubber o-ring on it, and the bayonet is constructed to be durable. When compared to 18-55, it is superior in this regard. 5. The filter has a landing size that is smaller than 52 millimeters. And from 18 to 55, it's the same, except that some things have been taken out and rearranged =) 5. Once the whale is removed, it can be stored in a Lowepro 120 bag that has a hood. If you replace the hood, you will find that the belt is now the correct size =) 1. The autofocus is not as tenacious as that of the same 18-55; it frequently misses, particularly if the target is small and does not contrast with its surroundings. Autofocus on a piece of white woven tulle that is hanging on the window (5 mm holes, 1 mm threads), while the weather is bright outside. The whale concentrates on the threads, which in 80% of instances have adequate content in the holes; the fix is a 50/50 proposition. Naturally, you are able to make adjustments to the ring. 2. Produced in China, assembled properly, but if you look closely, you can see the "micron" misalignment of the M/MA switch, and the lens hood, when worn, walks a little bit in the seat by fractions of a millimeter. Additionally, there is some input from the focusing ring (the main thing is up and down, and not in the directions of rotation, like in 18-55, which makes manual focusing masochistic on the latter). Naturally, this does not have any impact on the overall quality of the pictures. The lid that came with the kit that contained 35 turned out to be inferior to the lid that came with the whale; one of the sides does not snap into place securely enough.

Pros
  • Ring focus, filter size, and aperture with seven blades
Cons
  • A few minor complaints about the workmanship and the autofocus being off.
