Pretty deep for a smaller dog
Our Oscar is pretty much fully grown at 13 lbs., and has a tongue that gets into everything. I get him these types of bowls to stop him from devouring his food in seconds. I bought this one to keep at someone else's house for when they watch him. It does its job by slowing him down, but I was a little shocked at how deep it is. He manages, but I was surprised he was able to get everything out. If you pick this one, I would recommend medium dog or larger for that reason. I would not recommend for small breeds or any dog that has a dainty tongue.
