Great Job! A 9 year old water heater crackling and humming with deposits on the bottom of the tank. The wife wanted me to replace it. I bought it and followed the instructions and it worked great. Drained the tank which was in the basement, there was no drain nearby, and used buckets for home storage. insert device. (should have taken the advice to let it run a bit when inserting before screwing in as I think there is still some sediment near the hose drain connector. But that was my fault. <grin>) Attached hose to it and ran it up the stairs and out. Started filling the tank. After filling, start the device with a drill and watch the sediment flow through the device. Augur on the machine took care of the larger parts and the water pressure from the house made sure it went all the way through the hose and out the end. The photos show the sediment that flowed into the driveway. Yes it was necessary to put this end in a household bucket to collect the sediment as they suggest. <grin> The water heater no longer crackles or buzzes except a few times when I first started it. I think the vapor build up causing the pops dissolved the remaining residue as now I can't hear it at all. So I have a practically new water heater that I can clean once a year and that will last for years. GRATITUDE!
