Review on Dorman 601-225 Fuel Pump Relay Module for Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury Models (OE FIX) – Enhanced SEO by Flavio Iyer

My holiday visit was a success 838 miles from home

I am a mechanic and have an 09 f150 xlt 4.6L with 216,000 miles on it. I drove 3 states to visit Minnesota and upon arrival my truck almost constantly starts but will not start. After many tests, it started and stayed constant several times. I brought it to the store, say, after the incident and after the purchase, the same thing happened in the parking lot. I checked the relays and fuses (fuel pump, ignition), everything is fine. I hit the fuel tank, and then the trial began. I knew he had FPDM. I looked around and didn't see anything out of the ordinary. Start was still sporadic. I ordered this FPDM and it was shipped to my visiting address and I replaced the module. I didn't have to drop the replacement part. I could see it well from the LR tire, but I couldn't reach it. In my case it is held by 2 10 meter bolts on the chassis cross member. The tab of the released electrical connector is depressed. Since the switch I've been using my truck as usual and returning to OKC from MN, making 5 stops along the way and never had any hesitation starting. So I believe if your problem is in this part then this will work. Make sure you don't have a faulty relay or fuse. Lacking the right tools, I had to use my mechanical intuition to replace a less complex part. A defective fuel pump would be workshop work since I had a full tank and almost no tools.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • No performance
