Review on ๐Ÿ–จ๏ธ Creality Ender 3S Mainboard with AIRIVO Auto-Leveling Feature by Aaron Schultz

Easy to install, works well

Failed to load media. I have several of these now. I installed it on my Ender 3 Max. This printer has built-in mounting holes that are 100% designed for this kit. This works on almost every printer but requires a firmware update. Installation on the Creality Ender 3 Max is very simple. I spent most of my time routing the cable neatly with other hot-end cables. The cable is very long and fits almost every printer. The Ender 3 Max measures 300mm x 300mm x 340mm and had about 2 inches of cable left. If you use a different printer, check out the mount on Thingiverse. The Creality 4.2.2 board has a 5-pin connector for this cable. If you have a different board you may need an adapter cable to split the 5 pins into a 2 pin and a 3 pin connector. The Creality configuration files for the Marlin firmware contain comments indicating the changes required. Just search for BLTOUCH. If you don't want to compile the firmware, go to Creality website and download the firmware for BL Touch. If you are using a different printer, visit the manufacturer's website and check the BL Touch firmware version. Please note that CR Touch and BL Touch use the same settings. I have attached a video demonstrating the operation of platform leveling (G29) on the printer. My firmware is set to take two measurements at each location using a 4 x 4 grid. When running M48 (a repeatability test to verify the accuracy of the sensor) I measured a deviation of 0.001847 mm. When is it necessary? If you have a warped bed, then you need one of these. If you find yourself leveling your bed with every press, you need one of these. If you enjoy tinkering and upgrading your printer, you need one of these.
