Review on ASUS XG27AQ: DisplayPort DisplayHDR 2560X1440 at 170Hz with Height Adjustment, Blue Light Filter, IPS, and HDMI by Boobieo Imam

Let me start with the most important aspect of this review and why I'm taking the time to write it. I've spent months (seriously) researching monitors because I wanted my purchase to last five years or more without even thinking about upgrading. Out of the half dozen monitors I've bought, this monitor had everything I wanted. It had fast response times, amazing image quality, a 120+ Hz refresh rate, tilt/swivel, speakers, and was obviously white, which suited my aesthetic. One issue I kept noticing from my readings was that this model (don't know) had very poor input lag for 60Hz games, specifically PS5 forced 60Hz. I'm talking lags of over 30ms. Having a PS5 and playing games like Elden Ring that limited 60Hz frames, I balked a bit. I'm glad I pulled the trigger on this monitor, though. I didn't notice any noticeable input lag with this monitor in Fortnite, Genshin Impact or Elden Ring. I have the above games on both PS5 and PC. With my rudimentary tools, I couldn't tell any difference between 120+ Hz, 60 Hz PC or PS5 capped at 60 Hz. Even in a highly competitive shooter like Fortnite I don't feel any input lag at 60Hz. I really thought I had to return this monitor. I'm not sure if the white version fixed the issue, but I'm very happy with this monitor. The only downside is that the sound quality from the speakers is a bit below average and I think that's because the sound monitor and I are used to the sound coming from below. It grew on me though, so I didn't want to shoot too much for it. If you have any doubts about the input lag issues found on many Asus monitors, they're either grossly overstated, or this white model performs better than its non-white counterpart.
