Quality product - Easy installation - Good price

I watched a video on youtube before installing the new tailgate latch. I actually had less trouble removing the old latch and installing the new one than the guy in the video. I highly recommend watching the tutorial video if you haven't already. A flat head screwdriver and a 13mm socket or wrench is all you need. Pry up the top of the bezel with the flat head, then pull up to remove the old bezel. After pulling the front panel out, press down on the red and green tabs on the outside and pull the tie rods out of their slots. Then stretch out or use a screwdriver to pull the rod from the left (red side) to the right. This will unlock the back door. With the tailgate down, remove the 3 screws securing the latch and remove the latch. Insert the new latch and line up the holes in the latch with the holes on the back of the tailgate. Replace the screws and tighten until tight. Lift the tailgate until it clicks to hold it. Now grab out and move the green tab until its hole lines up with the end of the right side bar. Insert the end of the rod into the hole in the tab and push the other end of the tab up until it snaps into place. Repeat the same with the left side bar and clip. Your lock should now be fully functional. Finally, install the new bezel by placing the bottom fixed tabs first. DO NOT assemble the top clamps first. You will break the bottom fixed tabs and mess up the bezel. It took about 15 minutes to install on my 02 Sierra. The quality and appearance of the new latch and bezel appear to be equal or better than the originals. Good value for money.
