Review on INTELLITEC 0100055000 Battery Disconnect Relay by Jacob Sampino

May fail with age

I have this cut out in a 2007 Class A van. We found that it turns off randomly. The lights have also been observed to go out when other 12V loads are applied. I called the service department for advice and they said it was impossible to turn it off. A few days later, the entire 12 volt system shut down when under load. After some investigation I found no magnet exit. I ordered a new one and after some distortions in the Narrows I replaced it and everything worked. Disassembled the old one and found that the disc connecting the input and output pins was so rusted that it would no longer connect. I cleaned the plate with steel wool and now it works perfectly! The moral of the story is that it works great new, is relatively easy to install and if you notice your headlights dimming or the decoupling in the old solenoid seems weird you'd better clean or replace it before you get stuck There are no jacks, slides and awnings on the lowered ones, but there is no 12 volt power supply!

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Expensive
