As mentioned by many others this is a good set to start turning. The set I received was in excellent condition, on first use everything was fairly well tailored, the box is solid and straight, there are no dangling handles and none have broken since I bought them in October 2018. Personally I don't think I need to get one of the really expensive sets, maybe some extra/special chisels when I figure out what I need beyond this set but they have helped me so far. Although sharpness is key. It's best to hit them lightly and often to avoid sharpening too hard, which can mess up the angle. Great buy and value!
