This is a huge improvement over the pair I had before, they weren't very strong and ended up breaking in half. I love them for several reasons: first, they're bright yellow (my old ones were green) and I can't lose them. My leaves are all red and brown and some green-yellow ones stand out and I'm old and forgetful so that helps a lot. Second, I can take them either by the handles or (preferably) by the back edges. I have arthritis in my hands and they work with me not against me. It's hard to explain, but it's the design - they're more concave and the round shape (as opposed to square) creates more torque on the teeth, so to speak. With this set, it doesn't take much force to press the leaves. I use large green paper trash bags for the leaves and they are the perfect size for opening the bag. I love her!
