Great clamps to hold wood in place when installing screws. I realized early on that a good connector fit and secure clamps on a solid flat table are the two MAIN keys to a successful bag connector. With several standard length clamps available, it is time to add some longer clamps to the range. The soft grip is pleasant. It may move a little, but I don't mind much. The large clamping surface distributes the clamping force over a larger area and has not left any dents in the wood. Some offer rubber/plastic caps for them. can be a nice addition to "slip on". I prefer a solid clamp over something with a cushion because the cushion can allow things to squeeze and move. I like the longer range for some applications. I'll even look into XL clamps in the near future and guess what. they have them!
