Review on ZOTAC GeForce GT 710 1GB DDR3 PCIE x1 Graphics Card - DVI, HDMI, VGA, Low Profile (ZT-71304-20L) by Dwayne Shavers

I'm concerned about the noise level of my computers, maybe because I have three computers in my bedroom that run 24/7. I never shut down my systems except for maintenance. When I decided to add a graphics card to my Xeon server, I didn't want to make any noise. I didn't need anything really powerful since it was a server and I'd just live with the onboard GPU, but these days there are some games that insist your graphics card must meet certain video requirements just to run a game server. Perhaps this is just laziness of the programmers, since the servers do not actually display game graphics, but, as they say, "what is what is". With its low price and fanless design, the Zotac GeForce GT710 is what you need. I also have a Zotac in my gaming rig, a 6GB 980Ti AMP Extreme with three fans, but they only run when needed, so idle noise is very low. Throw in an Intel i7-2600k with a fanless heatsink, fanless power supply, and no mechanical drives, and even my gaming rig is quiet. Unfortunately I can't confirm how well the GT710 works with games and other graphical applications as I don't need it on the server. If you just want to surf the web or play older games that don't require modern graphics, this card should work just fine. If you want to play the latest version of Battlefield, Call of Duty, War Thunder and more, look elsewhere.
