I looked at the picture and didn't read the details - it's my fault and my review is to help others not to be so careless. This is NOT a meat thermometer. This is a pocket food thermometer that is used (like a health checker) to pierce cooked food or a heating pad to check that the internal temperature is within legal norms. The head has a diameter of 2.5 cm and must expressly not be placed in the oven. It's most likely perfect for what it is and I thought it was a meat thermometer. It looks like it's my fault for not reading the details (e.g. note that the description doesn't say anything about putting it in the oven). . It might be just what you want (if you know what it is and not just look at the picture and like me assume)!
