I got a cheaper glass cutter for Christmas and while it's ok, this one is WAY BETTER! If you're serious about stained glass, invest in a heavier cutter with a small head like this one. My only suggestion would be to find a similar one with a spherical head rather than a hex head (although it still works well for tapping on glass).
