Review on Patellar Adjustable Neoprene Arthritis Recovery by Chris Bowden

Surprisingly much better than I expected

I am very pleasantly surprised at how much this brace has helped me. When hiking, my right knee starts shaking on steep descents and I used to use a typical arm brace. This brace was too restrictive for my range of motion and almost immediately turned into a sweaty mess, so I decided to try it. These braces are not perfect, but they are much better than the others! BENEFITS: Opens completely so you can put it on without taking off your boots. The silicone tubes provide comfortable, snug, non-pinching support. wear sweaty. Velcro on BOTH ends of the straps! No more loose flaps slipping underneath. Prevents my knee from shaking and hurting! CONS: When walking uphill with a brace, repetitive deep squats cause the section behind the knee to compress and dig in very painfully. It's only a problem on the way up and on the way down I mostly need support, so it's not difficult to just wear a brace for that part. It would be nice if they could fix it. The top strap tends to fall off after a while. Setting it up isn't difficult, but it's a bit annoying. It's worth noting that I have fairly large hips, so my patella isn't very prominent, so there's really nothing to counteract gravity. This may have more to do with the shape of the foot than the design. In general, they're really good if you're not wearing them for dozens of deep lunges. Very glad I bought them
