We used this camera system to watch our yard. It took time to install and route the wires for the cameras. Once I got that done it didn't take long to get them working with a monitor I had.I found that you can connect to it using an app on ipad or android. It didn't support the Chrome Book we had since the app would continually crash even when connecting first time. I recommend using your phone to watch the footage. Also if you use a computer to connect to it you have to use active x with internet explorer so soon you won't be able to connect from a computer since Windows won't come with internet explorer. It should get support for other browsers like chrome, firefox and safari to be more useful here.I was able to turn on recording for the cameras. The user interface is not easy to use but can do alot of different things. But once you get it setup you don't have to go back and make changes very often so I guess that is ok.The quality of the cameras is good and I like the night vision features plus you can download videos so you can share with people a video snipet if you want.
