Review on πŸ“ Universal 2 Inch Digital LED Fuel Level Gauge with Fuel Sensor and Pointer Meter for Car, Boat, and Automobiles by Jamie Behm

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Poor quality, not exactly.

I ordered two of these sensors. The first read 80 percent completely. After about a dozen uses on my desktop prior to installation, it stopped registering. Nothing, dead. I ordered a second device and it behaves the same way. He read maybe 90% instead of the whole. Both gauges appear to be fairly accurate near zero where it really matters, but you'd still expect a gas gauge to be accurate at both ends of the range. The light on the 2nd meter didn't work at all; In fact, a slight tug on the cable to connect the innards came out of the sensor and that probably killed it. There's just no quality. A slight tug on the wire shouldn't cause the thing to fall apart. Also, the performance on both sensors wasn't smooth. That is, the mechanism hangs at a random point between full and empty. Pretty sad for a brand new sensor. I ended up ordering the Sea Choice brand, which costs about $30 and is sold here at Revain. Everything in it was much heavier, although it does not have a pressure gauge. As with most modern things, you get what you pay for and this is another great example of poor quality goods from China. It makes me sad because the concept here is good. They give very specific instructions on how to set up one of your tanks and are generally pretty easy to hook up. If only they would back some of these ideas with quality materials, they would actually have decent products. Stay away from it.
