That's actually a problem. You have to twist the bits to get them out of their holders. bright. If you're trying to get a razor sharp 1 /4" carbide twist drill bit will probably cut your fingers. My solution is simple. Don't use most bit holders. . Never mind. The tray is in the box and won't go anywhere. I'm using 1 /2" bit holders for larger bits with 1/2" shank. The rest lean a little. Nothing bad will happen. as long as they don't bump into each other. Another tip. Don't put bit holders in every hole. You need enough Space to take the bit and scrape it out practice. You cannot do this if the backs of your fingers are scratching the adjacent drill bit. Also, there is no point in cramming four 3" diameter holders under the drill bit where they cannot be used. Plan ahead and place them where they are needed. Last comment. The two organizers I bought work, but this is the worst injection molding job I've ever seen. There is a cross bar at the bottom of each hole to prevent bits and bit holders from falling out. If there are several holes, the crossbar is only partially filled. In the center of the top of each tray is a large protrusion through which the plastic is injected into the mold. Obviously there is no quality control in production, otherwise they would be rejected. CMT should be ashamed to sell them under their good name. They are even below cheap Chinese manufacturing standards. So functionally they work. It's cheaper to buy something than to spend a few hours laying and drilling holes in a piece of plywood. It would have been a five star product if it worked as expected. One star off for the difficult plugging and unplugging. Minus another one for poor workmanship. Three stars. And it's generous.
