You would think that with the position of the jacks you could swap out the 1/4 and 1/2 bits as needed - WRONG! At least I couldn't get any of them out without destroying them. Also, and perhaps more seriously, although the bits fit snugly into the hubs on their own, once inserted into the holes in the base, they are too tight for the bits to be easily inserted or removed. It's molded in soft black plastic (probably polyethylene). The top has 100 3/4" holes for you to insert 1/4" or 1/2" bit holders. The bit holders fit snugly and are permanently held in place once installed. They hold Knife sure. it would be possible to turn everything upside down and shake it so nothing falls out.
