This product was used for car wiring. Wires are wires. The only thing I have against it is that I found them too flexible in my application. I used them to put a terminal at the end of the cable for installation in a connector. The problem I had/have is that waterproof/watertight connectors are tight and it was VERY difficult to thread the end of this wire through the back of the connector to make it snap into the connector in the connector (front) - about 3 /4" - 1" in the clevis itself. Rather than simply threading the back of the connector like most 20 gauge wires do, this wire just bent and twisted trying to thread it, so I had to use a tiny object to slide the closure through. end (rear) all the way forward until it fits into the groove on the front of the fork. Far from perfect as I probably nicked the wire cover trying to thread it through the back of the connector. Since it's "inside" the connector, the fact that I notched the insulation shouldn't be a problem, but it's far from ideal for that reason too - if you need ANY wire and insulation stiffness for purposes , as I have described here, consider an alternative cable type.
