Fixed connection to the drain under the sink!

I wasn't sure if this thing would work, but I'm damn impressed! Use gloves. You don't want it on your fingers. Once it dries, the smell will disappear completely. I used this for something a bit unorthodox: the drain under our kitchen sink started leaking where the dishwasher drain connects to it (metal is very prone to corrosion due to our hard water). I thought I could temporarily patch it with duct tape, but touching it actually almost completely broke the connection! I know the correct repair is to replace the entire section of pipe but then I thought about it and found out the price even if it's temporary what do I have to lose? I was trying to find a use for plumbing sap to join two broken pipes, but all I could find was a mention of using it to repair pinpoint leaks. It might work, and if it doesn't, I paid a few bucks for a fun experiment. So I made a large ball of plasticine and held the tube in place with tape, surrounding the junction of the two tubes with more putty and wrapping the material around the back of both tubes. After it's hardened I have to say it's like play dough turned to steel! I don't know how permanent this solution will be, but it effectively fused the two tubes together and not a drop came out for several weeks. It's not necessary to trust such a large water pressure pipe repair, but since it's just a drain coming out of the sink and/or washing machine, it doesn't put much stress on the connection. This could save me a lot more time than I thought and cost me next to nothing compared to the time and money it would cost to fix it properly. I'm super impressed!
