I bought three of these kits to run around the wood shop and nearby garage. PROCESSABILITY. The pipe wasn't any harder to work with than a similarly sized PEX pipe, meaning it's not very stiff to the point where it becomes unwieldy, but it's no noodle either. In my case, all the plumbing runs inside the walls, so there was no problem with the plumbing not being straight and looking sloppy as a result. I ran the tube in a loop configuration as suggested by the manufacturer. I'm sure this helps as air can be drawn from two directions to the exhaust port being used, but my application (mainly nail and staple guns) doesn't have much of an air supply requirement. I placed outlets near two workbenches, near the garage door, next to the band saw, table saw, and miter saw. I have a couple of short coiled hoses with blowguns that I attach to blow dust off tools and only connect the longer hose when I need to fire the nail gun. FITTING. As mentioned in other reviews, unless your setup is very basic, the kits don't come with everything you need. I found RapidAir fittings too expensive, so I purchased the additional fittings I needed from a company called Automation direct.com. They offer a wide range of t-shirts and elbows. I purchased some 1/2" nylon cable clamps here at Revain and used them to secure the tubing as needed. I needed a way to protect the ends of the pipes when drywalling, texturing, painting, etc. and because my walls were heavily insulated I couldn't do it. Finally I cut the backs out of the plastic electrical junction boxes and stuck each end of the pipe into the box. . This did a nice clean install. Kits do not include air line quick disconnects and must be purchased. I've bought a couple of typical retractable sleeve connectors and a couple of "automatic" connectors that just snap into place. The automatic is really handy and I plan to replace the stock clutches soon. PROPERTIES. I notice some leakage but it's not significant to me. When I'm not using an air compressor (20 gallons total) it can come on once a day due to a leak. My pipe layout includes 10 feet of vertical rises from the compressor before horizontal sections appear. I can't pinpoint what exactly is causing this, but I haven't seen any problems with water in the air ducts, albeit not in a humid climate. For a while I regularly opened drains at outlets, but as I didn't see any water coming out I stopped. Overall I am very happy with the RapidAir system and it definitely comes in handy to have air where I need it without lugging around long hoses.
