I wanted something kid friendly to store all of my 1 year old's books. My husband assembled it and he said it was a pain as the holes didn't line up. When everything was done, it became apparent that the left side of the bags were further away from the right, making the shelf look crooked. Every time I come by I want to straighten the shelf but I realize they are actually crooked dowel holes and there's nothing we can do to fix it. is it kid friendly Yes. It holds books well, although small cardboard books get lost in the fabric. Is the effort and price worth it? Probably not - I would look for something better. We would have sent it back but thought it would be more difficult to do so.
