So far so good

I ordered a pair of these shoes when my son's school shoes broke 2 months before graduation. To be honest the main reason I bought them was the price as I didn't want to shell out money knowing summer vacation is in two months and I still can't get my kid to wear shoes. . But other than that, we've had "traditional" Crocs in the past, so I felt good about the brand and had reason to hope they would be comfortable. I also knew my son would find them "cool". He's 6 and the red laces were a really easy task. He specifically wanted shoes with laces, which, oddly enough, are no longer the norm in his age group. He was thrilled that he could tie his laces, but his latest sneakers had a weird "bungee" closure (which broke, by the way, which prompted me to buy them). Anyway, so far so good. They appear to be true to size. The sock is very roomy which is very comfortable for my son with wide feet. I love the croc insole without the odor absorbing sockliner. Seems to be a good sneaker for summer when you need something more sturdy than flip flops or sandals. It's just canvas over crocodile skin that feels cool enough for summer. I wouldn't use them for winter wear but spring/fall should be fine. I think, this shoe can even get slightly wet and dry given the crocodile bottom. I wouldn't use them for water shoes, of course, but if he slips in a stream or puddle I don't think there's anything to worry about. Overall I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend it.
