This worked fine with my faucet except: (1). I had to cut about 1/4 inch off the short end and (2) I had to use an old plastic nut. However, I used a plastic washer. I can't find the brand on the faucet, but I think I bought it from Home Depot. It is over 10 years old and may be a Home Depot brand e.g. B. Glacier Bay. The short end, as supplied, was 1 1/4 inches long. 5/8 inch bullet, just like my old one. Manufacturers of these items are required to provide full dimensions - I was lucky this worked by simply snipping off the short side with a hacksaw. By the way, an easy way to measure the length you need is to insert a wooden coffee stirrer and mark with a pencil where the thread starts. Then make it a little shorter to fit the ball, leaving a little gap.
