Unfortunately the flashlight was damaged in transit due to poor packaging. What I can say is that this is a great design. I wish the controller was a bit more complex. However, it works great when sorted out. Even though it was broken, I managed to get it working well enough to at least test it. So I tested a 55 gallon tank that was 48 inches long. It was a 36-48" 72W marine unit. While I think it's only suitable for an aquarium, I STRONGLY recommend that you do one of two things: First, buy the largest block that will fit in your aquarium, ie In my case I had to order a 47-66" 96w unit. If you keep corals I'd probably suggest at least two 72w units. Again. "For the money this would be 'dignity "Probably one of my favorite buys of cheaply priced marine lanterns when I actually need to use them. It would be nice if MICMOL would send replacements. I would at least offer to pay the difference for a 96W fixture.
