I used to have a battery powered Access bed light on a company truck. It installed in 5 minutes and worked pretty well even though the lightbar was only 12 inches. When I bought the company's new truck I decided to see for myself if this hardwired kit was really worth it and I can tell you that. Quality construction, thicker wires and appears to be very well made. I connected it to the rear side 7 pin trailer connector which was a lot easier than pulling the wires all the way through. Battery. And wow, those lights are BRIGHT! The entire installation took me 1 hour. I will be installing more of these lights on my other trucks! And you get over 8 feet of total light in less than a 12-inch driveway.
