Tried and compared to my bulky foam wedge pillow which I stuff into a travel compression bag. An inflatable pillow is definitely better and takes up a lot less space than my bowling ball sized compressed foam pillow. Like many other reviewers, I agree that there is a hump at the bottom because the inflated wedge-shaped cushion doesn't taper to a sharp edge at the bottom. This can be completely avoided by following the instructions and only partially inflating the pillow. You will need to source or make a pillowcase as it is not included. I put it under the covers at my hotel last night and it worked fine. It looks well made and I like the fabric-like finish. You'll need an inexpensive foot-operated air pump or a compact, quiet, battery-powered travel pump. Deflates quickly by placing two pillows on top when packing. Now I have much needed space in my suitcase.
