Each year I use several packs of pruning shears to clear the trees and bushes in my yard. I can't use a chainsaw because I'm working around barbed wire, steel fence posts, etc, so saber saws work. I used to buy cheap delimbing knives from "China" Freight (only for cutting wood, so if it's low-grade steel it's ok) and I've tried a few, but within a year or two it's gone the price doubled and it's not that good anymore good deal. Tried other more expensive blades. These porter cord blades are thick and strong to avoid bumps, bends and breaks. Good steel and hardened teeth. Of course, they are a little more expensive than cheap HF, but I can run PC 2.5-1 maybe 3-1 times longer than cheap, so they are more profitable. decisive word? Running hard with a powerful saw will break cheap saw blades, period. So I sustained minor injuries, kind of expected that, but I don't remember one of the PC blades being broken, so I'm a regular customer. Save yourself some skin!
