Precise replacement on a 2008 Jetta 2.5. The filter is made in China but the one I replaced with from the factory was the same. First remove the two hoses on one side. Then remove the Phillips head screw on the clamp. Look closely and you will see a piece of plastic that needs to be cut off if this is the first filter change. Otherwise the clamp will not open. Once the filter is down, remove the remaining single hose. The clamp that needs to be depressed to remove the hose on one side is on the opposite side facing the landing gear. If you remove the filter after the other two hoses have been removed, it will be much easier to access.
