Review on Orange SUNLU Filament 1.75Mm - UV, Rain, And Heat Resistant Tough 3D Printer Filament For Outdoor Functional Mechanical Parts - 1Kg Spool (2.2Lbs) With 395 Meters by Douglas Norton

This Sunlu ASA prints better than ABS, but it’s really stinky

This is great basic ASA in a really dark charcoal gray, not truly black. This prints really smooth with excellent adhesion between 240-245C on my Fokoos and Qidi iFast. Even with an open frame printer, I didn't have issues printing it a 65F degree room, but the bed had to be at least at 90C. I got a tiny lift on a corner, but 100 had the best results, even without printing with draft shield enabled in CURA. The ASA held dimensional stability much better than comparable basic ABS printed right around the same temperature.Perfect for functional and lightweight parts just like ABS, but with the additional UV stability if there's regular outdoor exposure. The only down side was this stuff smells really bad, I had to use a fume extractor with a charcoal filter to make it bearable, even with the windows open. Great stuff if you can maintain bed temp on a open framed printer, but my enclosed QIDI just prints like it's PLA in there, but with the pungent odor emanating from the melting styrene.
