Attempting to determine the cause of wandering random engine misfires (P300, P306, P302) and transmission speed sensor out of range on a 2002 Jeep Liberty 3.7L. I read on a jeep forum that sometimes aftermarket parts can cause random problems with the PCM. I had already replaced this sensor with an aftermarket sensor during a repair and would never have guessed that the crankshaft sensor was the problem. I figured I had nothing to lose but a few bucks by trying the Mopar crank sensor. Installed this Mopar sensor and the misfire went away as did the transmission speed out of range trouble code. From now on, all sensors are genuine Mopar parts.
