Easier to bend than nails

Obviously I'm bad at driving 10 inch nails in a straight line so I bought these instead as recommended by my particular Simpson StrongTie product. Only certain products can use SD #9 without affecting the loading capacity, so be sure to visit the Simpson website. In any case, it is much easier than with nails. The box comes with a hex head so you can use a drill or impact tool.

Pros
