Well it was bound to happen, living in Florida we get our share of tropical storms and hurricanes and when "Ian" gently came in as a cat 1, I was too lazy to take down our Gazebo canopy. Needless to say, I paid the price. "Ian" did a number on my canopy, it ripped a 3-foot, long tear. So here I was looking to buy a new replacement canopy when I came across this fabric canvas repair tape. With nothing to lose except a couple of dollars, I said why not. Applying the repair tape was somewhat challenging as I didn't really want to completely remove the canopy from its frame. So out comes the ladder and I applied the tape and cover the rip as best as I could on both sides. Is it going to last? I was skeptical and I'm still not sure how long this repair tape is going to hold, I have no idea. I can see how for small cuts and tears this would be a good solution. The one good thing is we're at the end of our hurricane season so at the very least I bought some time, and maybe I can find a replacement canopy when it goes on sale.
