Five stars overall. This replaced a defective DEWENWILS RF socket I had purchased and returned which had an activity light that you couldn't see under the power supply when plugged in, used a proprietary A23 battery in an unreliable remote control and always started in "off" state. . So, if there was a fluctuation or power failure due to a thunderstorm, a switch tripped, etc.; The DEWENWILS outlet would not turn on on reboot and the Comcast phone/Internet gateway I had plugged into it stayed off until the problem was discovered and the outlet had to be manually turned back on. This LoraTap runs much smoother for my purposes, the socket is much more responsive to the remote using the regular 2032 button cell battery that I almost always have on hand and presents no problem with powering on as the socket is attached to the previous ones On/Off status reminder when power is restored. If you need an RF outlet with a very decent range (advertised as 656 feet, but other reviewers say it can go even further within sight), I recommend this LoraTap outlet with a remote magnetic RF switch. I bought this to use on my Comcast gateway which needs constant resets 1-6 times a day when my smart home devices (lights, google, alexa etc.) become unresponsive while everything else works fine. Comcast had already replaced the gateway with no other idea how to fix it, to the point of charging my account as an excuse for wasting time/money troubleshooting. It takes up to 12 minutes for the Xfinity app to do this over the cloud so I can get it done in less than 3 minutes. I'm learning how to use Raspberry Pi to automate my smart home over offline LAN to fully compensate for my incompetence. I use this as an ad hoc workaround and it works as quickly and reliably as I could hope for. Thank you LoraTap!
