Their number is reduced by two large bait boxes that are constantly replenished. However, a while ago a furry creature decided to spend the night in my garage. The next morning I found that it had partially gnawed through the end of a rubber bumper tube on the bottom edge of my garage door. Not enough damage to warrant a replacement, but as a deterrent I stuffed each end with these spacers and some Gorilla Glue to hold them in place. So far no problems other than exorbitant dental bills that rats can pay. I'm just having fun. I set a giant trap every night and still no one has come to take the bait.
