Review on 🔪 DEWALT Dado Blade Set: 8-Inch, 24-Tooth - Top Quality and Precision by James Hess

I have a Ridgid R4512 hybrid table saw and this set of pads are compatible. At first I had trouble understanding how the riving knife release lever would work with the notch installed as the lever hit the blades when I tried to re-latch it. After some research I found that the only purpose of the lever is to lock the riving knife/splitter in place and when using a notch stack the lever should be left in a vertical position. The downside is you can't cut a dado deeper than 1.5 inches without the lever touching the needle plate, but I still can't figure out when I'll ever need that kind of depth. See page 42 or 43 of the R4512 manual for more details. As for the blade set itself, I couldn't be happier to hide it. The blades were well marked in a sturdy case and mine had a paper kerf chart inside the case with its own storage slot. now (i.e. a 3/4" sheet of plywood is actually 23/32"), this might come in handy. Cut out a few common combinations for your typical use and use these boards to compare them to a sheet so you don't have to waste time every time you get a stack.
