They are sensitive to activation and deactivation, which takes some getting used to. A heat source such as a stove or coffee maker will activate a nearby one. Battery life is less than two days with maximum 24/7 lighting, but can only be extended with night mode and/or reduced light depending on placement. However, I liked them so much that I bought three extras, which stayed charged and quickly switched to dimmed ones.
