Review on LG 27UN850 W: Borderless DisplayHDR Monitor with Adjustable Stand, USB Hub, and High Dynamic Range by Darron Lopez

I currently have a 2017 27" iMac 5K and will be replacing it with an M2 Mac Mini or Pro when they come out, so I took advantage of Revain's Prime Day price and two of these LG 27UN850-W monitors Bought them. Not owning a Mini yet I wanted to compare them to my iMac. I plugged them in one at a time and ran screen tests to make sure there were no dead pixels etc. Both appear to be in good working order. I have only changed two settings, one was to disable "High Dynamic Range" as it made the images too bright, the other was to scale the resolution, which made everything almost the same on both monitors, after changing both settings and Having worked with the LG monitor and my iMac I have to say I'm *very* impressed. Sure, LG supports 4K, not 5K like the iMac, but the difference is more than acceptable. My office has a window behind me, and while I really like the iMac's glossy screen, the LG's matte screen helps a bit with reflections. I'm not a professional, but I work a lot with photos and videos and other graphics. Moving images from my iMac to LG and back, I see some differences, but not enough to justify spending $1,500 on a standalone Apple monitor. In my opinion, the LG monitor offers excellent value for money. I've only been using the monitors for a few days but I have to say I'm very impressed. I've been using an iMac for about 20 years and had no intention of upgrading to a Mini (or Pro), but I find these monitors make the transition that much easier. Highly recommended. I will be sure and let you know if I run into any problems.
