Metal does not fully pass through handle

Poor quality control. I chose this 3 inch Warner spatula because it featured a metal blade that ran between the plastic halves of the handle to the top of the handle. But in the one I received, the metal stops 1/8 inch less than the top of the plastic handle, with an air gap between the halves. This means if you hit it with a hammer, the force will NOT be transmitted directly to the metal blade, but through the plastic and rivets, which will likely break the plastic or rivets. Made in Vietnam. Also, I specifically ordered a straight blade knife, but received a curved blade knife. You might as well order a cheaper spatula if the brand's 'name' sucks too.
