Review on Enhanced Vivitek Qumi Q2 300 Lumen WXGA HDMI 3D-Ready Pocket DLP Projector (Black) by David Urbanski

I have had this projector for about 7 months now and I love it. At first I was apprehensive about the mini HDMI but it turned out not to be an issue as it comes with a full sized mini HDMI cable. I connect it to my Sony PS3 all the time and project a screen of about 80 inches. Bluray movies look amazing, games are amazing. It looks just as good as a regular lamp projector without worrying about lamp life and in HD. The LEDs make the picture very intense and saturated, which I think increases the overall brightness of the picture. You really need to control the light in the room you are going to use it in. The projected image looks fantastic in a dark room, but is still perfectly acceptable in a dimly lit room (although the lighting needs to be behind or near the screen, not overhead). as this will completely blur the projected image). We connected ours to a Sony home theater receiver via an optical audio cable for digital surround sound and it works great for our 'man cave' mini home theatre. You definitely need to output the sound through the receiver or even computer speakers because the built-in speaker is barely audible. Overall I'm very happy with this amazing little piece of technology. Not to mention the entire projector cost a little more than a lamp replacement on my previous projector!
