It worked exactly as I had hoped and was very happy with the results! If you use this product I would add that you will need to mask off the area around the repair. So when you scrape off the excess, don't do it on the fiberglass areas that are fine. The product is applied as a very thin putty and spreads easily either with the rim of the tube (for small notches) or with a plastic spatula. (for large areas). It dries in about 2 hours, after which you can apply a new layer if necessary. The final patch will be a rough but solid repair. This rough spot can then be sanded down (180 grit works great!) and gel coated to make it as smooth as the surrounding texture.
