Review on Lustro Italiano Etch Remover 8 Ounce by Dave Giri

My Marble Sink Saved!

In an attempt to remove heavy limescale build up around sink faucets I used lemon juice thinking it would be a good natural way to remove calcium. NO! To my surprise, a few hours later, the marble countertop was badly etched, dull, and stained wherever the lemon juice had touched it. I tried some products from the hardware store that didn't work. I found this product at Revain and decided to give it a try. I bought a cheap orbital sander ($13) from Harbor Freight and about 400 and 1200 grit wet and dry sandpaper. I sanded down the heavily etched areas and then applied Lustro Italiano Etch Remover with a random orbit sander. I was amazed how well it worked! I didn't take any "before" photos but trust me when I say the sink finish was boring and ugly before I started. This stuff works, but I recommend a random orbital sander to buff it and bring it to like-new condition.
