Why did it take me so long to discover this material?

I have been caretaker of 2 underground pools for the last 30 years. Pumps fail. The filter sand needs to be replaced. Gauges emit a genie. All of this normal maintenance involves tapered plastic fittings that can leak. I've used teflon tape, I've used silicone sealant, I've used tape and sealant together - and there's almost always an annoying leak in one of the fittings, sometimes requiring cutting new pipe to reseal the stupid plastic. conical fittings. Lo and behold, just before I started replacing the 6-way sand filter valve (requires 4 threaded connections), I came across a YouTube video where the installer recommended this product. HOLY COW I'm impressed! With this stick there is no chance of female fittings being split because you used too much tape AND NOTHING WILL LEAK! So easy to apply; Just rub it into the male threads. Then tighten the screw connections properly. So easy. So effective. Too bad I didn't know about this product years ago - highly recommended - you can't help but use it. And it won't dry up or leak next spring. When working with tapered plastic fittings, use this material instead of teflon tape or sealant - it works. Note: Not for drinking water systems, so use caution. And for all-metal fittings, Teflon tape is suitable. Note 2: Yes, I cracked my old pool filter valve with teflon tape on a leaking gauge port. I put too much tape to stop the leak and I split the case - Plasto-Joint Stik to the rescue for a new valve! And unless you're a professional installer, this stick will last forever.
