Mein Dell Latitude laptop was delivered with a mechanical hard drive and I needed the speed of an SSD. However, the computer motherboard has only one mounting screw for a 60mm M.2 SSD, and 60mm SSDs are relatively rare and very expensive. Instead, I bought this relatively inexpensive 40 mm SSD with 240 GB, cooked a safe 20 mm extension for it, installed it in a laptop, then ported the operating system on it and left the mechanical as a memory. He works like a champ. EDIT: After almost 6 months of daily work, it's still running like a champ.
