Windshield wipers do a good job of cleaning water off the windshield. The problem is when the wipers are on the downstroke. That is, directed to the bottom edge of the windshield. The driver's side windshield wiper sprays water onto the passenger's side windshield, obscuring visibility. I have owned this car for 11 years. I haven't had a problem like this with any other wiper, I've only used the wipers for a few months. Shelf life unknown.
