I have a BMW 335i sedan and there is only one 12V socket next to the driver's seat. I use it for my radar detector which requires a 12v connection and the second connection for an optional USB hub, although the 2 extra USB charging ports are very handy. So I can charge 2 mobile phones and an iPad on the go. I like the car's battery gauge, but I haven't paid much attention to it yet. I have a long trip planned so this will be the ultimate test. I like the color and it sticks out about 3 inches since my 12v connector is recessed. Great device! current purchase.
